Sharon Alexander is a primary Counselor for Garden State Treatment Center. She is currently working on her Licensing/certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Sharon graduated from La Salle University in 2014 with master’s in clinical counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Sharon began her career as an intern at Center for Families and Relationships in Philadelphia, Pa where she worked with couples, families and children. Sharon also brings with her 4 years of experience working at a long-term residential program with women & families who struggled with addiction.
Through a personal family exposure to addiction, Sharon found a passion for helping others in recovery and feels blessed to be able to do so. “Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.
